WEEK 4 - DAY 4

LOVE THAT MAKES ROOM

VERSE

LUKE 2:6-7
While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

1 JOHN 4:9-11
This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

DEVOTIONAL

There was no room for Jesus in the inn, so He was born in a stable. A humble place. A simple place. And yet, it became the holiest space on earth because love made room.
God chose to enter the world through a setting that had space—space that was not glamorous, perfect, or prepared. Which means He is not looking for perfection in you either. He is looking for room.
Love makes room.

Room in your heart.
Room in your thoughts.
Room in your daily life.
Room in your relationships.
Room in your priorities.

So often we fill our lives with noise, responsibilities, worry, and distraction. Advent gently asks:
Have you made room for Jesus?

Love creates space for Jesus to dwell, not just during Christmas but every day of your life. Love opens the door. Love listens. Love slows down. Love says, “Jesus, You are welcome here.”
Just like the stable, your heart becomes holy ground when you make space for Him.

REFLECT

What part of your life needs more room for Jesus this week?

PRAYER

Jesus, help me clear space in my heart for You. Make my life a place where Your love dwells freely.  Amen.

PRACTICE

Choose one small thing to pause today - a notification, a task, a bit of noise.
Use the space to talk to Jesus or sit in quiet for a moment.
Let that simple pause become your “stable” where He is welcome.
