MATTHEW 1:23
“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”(which means “God with us”).

Emmanuel means “God with us.” Not far away. Not watching from a distance. With us. Near enough to hear your quiet prayers. Near enough to carry your heaviness. Near enough to walk with
you through every season. God does not wait for us to be perfect before He draws close. He comes right into the middle of
our real lives. That is the miracle of Advent - God chooses to be with us long before we act like we deserve it.

Where do you need to feel God’s nearness today?

Lord, thank You for coming close. Help me sense Your presence in the middle of my everyday life.  Amen.

Place your hand over your heart and whisper, “You are with me.”
