WEEK 4 - DAY 2
LOVE ANNOUNCED FROM HEAVEN
VERSE
LUKE 2:8-11
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
JOHN 1:14
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

DEVOTIONAL
When the angels appeared, their first message was simple and powerful: “A Savior has been born to you.”
Not to someone else.
Not to a future generation.
Not just to the world in a general sense.
To you.
This is the heart of Advent.
Love enters our story.
Jesus didn’t come as an idea or a distant hope. He came in flesh and bone - a God who steps into human experiences, human emotions, human struggle, human joy. He comes close enough to walk with you, listen to you, heal you, forgive you, and carry you.
Love is not abstract.
Love is a Person.
Love has a name.
Love has come for you.
If your heart has felt distant from God, let this truth draw you back: God always moves toward you first. Before you reached for Him, He came for you. Before you prayed, He pursued you. Before you knew Him, He knew you.
The angels declared love that is personal, present, and powerful - love that steps into your story exactly where you are.

REFLECT
Where do you need to be reminded that God’s love is personal?
PRAYER
Jesus, thank You for stepping into my story. Help me receive Your love in a fresh way today. Amen.
PRACTICE
Sit in the quiet for one minute today and simply say: “Jesus, thank You for coming for me.”
Let the words settle. Nothing more.
