WEEK 1: SEEK GOD FIRST IN YOUR HEART
DAY 6
PRAYER FOCUS: Rest as a Spiritual Practice
“My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” — Exodus 33:14
Rest isn’t something you earn - it’s something you receive. In Scripture, rest is deeply connected to trust. When you rest, you’re acknowledging that God is the source and you are not. Rest resets your clarity. Rest restores your emotional reserves. Rest brings your pace back to something sustainable.
Sabbath begins with permission: permission to stop, permission to breathe, permission to be human. It reminds you that God never asked you to live at a pace that empties your soul. Rest slows you enough to reconnect with yourself and with God.
PRACTICE:
Choose one hour today to rest intentionally - no phones, no tasks, no multitasking. Just be.
PRAYER:
God, teach me to rest. Slow my mind, ease my tension, and help me release the pressure I carry. Show me how to pause without guilt. Restore my inner strength. Fill the empty places with Your presence. Make rest a holy rhythm in my life, not something I squeeze in when I’m exhausted. Refresh me in the ways only You can. Amen.
REFLECTION:
What is draining me most right now, and how can rest begin to heal it?
