WEEK 3: SEEK GOD FIRST IN YOUR PURPOSE

DAY 20

PRAYER FOCUS: Remaining Steady When Life Feels Uncertain

“He will be the stability of your times…” — Isaiah 33:6

Uncertainty is part of every season. Plans shift. Expectations change. Doors close. New ones open. The future doesn’t always unfold the way we imagined. But spiritual maturity is learned in the middle of these uncertain spaces - not outside them.

God does not promise a life without uncertainty. He promises to be your stability inside it. When everything around you feels unpredictable, God becomes the steady center you return to. He gives clarity when things feel foggy. He gives peace when things feel stretched. He gives direction one step at a time, even when you cannot see far ahead.

Seeking God first in uncertainty doesn’t mean understanding everything. It simply means refusing to be led by fear. It means pausing long enough to remember that God is not caught off guard by what surprises you. He is present. He is steady. He is wise. And He is leading you even when you don’t feel led.

Your purpose is not hindered by uncertainty - it is shaped through it.

PRACTICE:
Sit quietly for one full minute and place your hands open on your lap. Pray slowly:
“God, steady me where things feel uncertain.”

PRAYER:
God, meet me in the parts of my life that feel unclear. I acknowledge the areas where I feel unsure, stretched, or in transition. Become my stability when circumstances shift. Give me peace where I’ve been anxious and clarity where I’ve felt confused. Help me trust that You are working even when I cannot see the outcome. Teach me to move through uncertainty with a grounded heart and a steady spirit. Remind me that You hold the future, and that nothing uncertain to me is uncertain to You. Amen.

REFLECTION:
What area of my life feels the most uncertain - and how is God meeting me in it?
