WEEK 3: SEEK GOD FIRST IN YOUR PURPOSE
DAY 16
PRAYER FOCUS: Living as Light in the World
“You are the light of the world…” — Matthew 5:14
Purpose isn’t always a specific assignment - sometimes it’s a way of living. Jesus calls His followers “the light of the world,” which means your daily life carries spiritual influence even when you’re unaware of it.
Light doesn’t force itself. It simply shines. It brings clarity, comfort, warmth, and direction. Living as light means bringing Christlike presence into ordinary spaces: your workplace, home, neighborhood, friendships, and conversations.
You don’t need a platform to make an impact. You just need to live awake - attentive to the opportunities God places in front of you. A kind word. A prayer for someone. A patient response. A generous gesture. A moment of listening. These simple acts can carry more spiritual weight than you realize.
Light makes a quiet difference. And God uses ordinary people in ordinary places to reveal His heart to the world.
PRACTICE:
Do one intentional act of kindness today. Something simple but genuine.
PRAYER:
God, make me a light in the places You’ve planted me. Help me reflect Your character in my words, decisions, and actions. Open my eyes to opportunities to encourage, support, or serve someone today. Let my presence bring calm where there is conflict, hope where there is discouragement, and compassion where there is need. Use my life in simple ways to reveal who You are. Amen.
REFLECTION:
Where is God inviting me to be a quiet light right now?
