WEEK 3: SEEK GOD FIRST IN YOUR PURPOSE

DAY 14

PRAYER FOCUS: Trusting God With Your Steps

“The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him…” — Psalm 37:23

Purpose rarely arrives all at once. It usually comes step by step, through a slow unfolding. We often think we need the full plan before we can move, but Scripture teaches the opposite. God reveals direction as we walk. He establishes our steps as we delight in Him.

Seeking God first in your purpose doesn’t mean having every detail. It means trusting the One who leads. God guides through nudges, peace, opportunity, closed doors, and inner conviction. When you stay close to Him, you become more aware of what He’s inviting you into - and what He’s inviting you out of.

Some seasons of life feel unclear or unstructured. Those seasons are not wasted; they are forming you. God is shaping your desires, maturing your thinking, and strengthening your dependence on Him. Purpose is not just about what you do - it’s about who you’re becoming as you do it.

Your job is not to predict the future. Your job is to take the next faithful step, trusting God with the ones that follow.

PRACTICE:
Pray, “God, what is one small step You’re asking me to take?” Write down whatever comes to mind.

PRAYER:
Lord, guide my steps. Calm the part of me that wants to control every outcome. Teach me to trust You with the details I cannot see. Give me clarity where I need clarity, and give me peace where You are asking me to walk by faith. Align my steps with Your wisdom and my heart with Your timing. Lead me forward with confidence that You are establishing my path. Amen.

REFLECTION:
Where do I need to trust God’s guidance instead of seeking certainty?
