21 DAYS OF PRAYER

DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

WEEK 2: SEEK GOD FIRST IN YOUR HABITS

DAY 12

PRAYER FOCUS: Community as a Spiritual Habit

“Encourage one another daily…” — Hebrews 3:13

Spiritual formation is not a solitary journey. You cannot grow deeply in isolation. Community is one of the primary ways God shapes your character, strengthens your faith, and protects your heart.

Healthy community pushes you toward Jesus. It gives you people to learn from, pray with, serve with, and grow with. Community also exposes parts of you that need maturity - your reactions, your impatience, your habits. This is part of God’s design.

Seeking God first includes seeking community intentionally. It means resisting the urge to isolate when life feels heavy. It means showing up even when it’s easier not to. It means offering encouragement and receiving it.

Community doesn’t just support you - it forms you.

PRACTICE:
Send a message, a voice note, or a prayer to someone who needs encouragement today.

PRAYER:
Lord, thank You for the gift of community. Thank You for people who strengthen my faith and remind me that I’m not meant to walk alone. Help me show up with consistency and humility. Teach me to both encourage and receive encouragement. Form deeper relationships in my life that honor You. Surround me with people who draw me closer to Your presence. Shape me through community in ways I could never grow alone. Amen.

REFLECTION:
Who is one person I should intentionally invest in or encourage this week?
