WHO WE ARE
Our Story
Redemption started with a dream and calling in Pastors Jeremy and Amee’s hearts to birth a life-giving church in Westchester County that would help people find new life in Jesus. In 2014 they packed up everything and moved their family from Western New York to Westchester to pursue this vision.
This dream became a reality when a team of committed people gathered on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the AMC theater in Port Chester to launch Redemption Community Church. Since then, we have experienced amazing growth, reaching people throughout the NYC area, seen countless lives changed by the love of Jesus, helped plant hundreds of life-giving churches nationally and globally, launched initiatives to serve those in need in our community and around the world. We’ve been in awe as God has created and continues to build a beautiful, thriving church family. Through it all, the vision of a life-giving church for Westchester & the NYC area remains the same, and we invite you to be a part of the next chapter of what God is doing here at Redemption. Welcome home!
Our Lead Pastors
Jeremy & Amee Ziegler
Jeremy and Amee are college sweethearts who met at Southwestern University in Texas in the late 90’s and married not long after graduation. Jeremy is a pastor’s kid from New Orleans, and Amee grew up singing in church in Buffalo, NY. Together they served as youth and associate pastors in both of each other’s hometowns before sensing a call to start a life-giving church in the NYC area.
Jeremy and Amee love leading the vision and ministries of Redemption together. Jeremy brings his passion, sense of humor, and relatable approach to Sunday morning messages. He has a Master of Divinity from Regent University and is an ordained minister. Amee oversees several areas of ministry including Creative Arts. She leads worship on Sunday mornings and brings her creative talent to everything she touches. She has degrees in business, music, and Bible & theology.
They are blessed with three amazing boys: Aaron, Michael, and Nicholas.
Our Team
Redemption Community Church exists to help people find new life in Jesus Christ and follow him completely. Â
We do this by helping people Know God / Discover Purpose / Find Community / Make a DifferenceÂ
KNOW GOD
Gathering together in worship is all about experiencing the presence of God. Through music, preaching, prayer, and communion, we draw closer to God and grow our relationship with Him.Â
DISCOVER PURPOSE
This 2-part series of classes is designed to be a catalyst for your spiritual growth by introducing you to the vision of Redemption and helping you take the next steps in your journey of faith.Â
FIND COMMUNITY
Real life change happens in the context of relationships. God created us to live in community with others, and it is only then that we can experience the full life He intended for us.Â
MAKE A DIFFERENCE
All of us were created by God to make a difference in the world around us. God has a place for you where your unique abilities and passions can impact the lives of others.Â
Our Culture
We’re building a culture that values…
COMMUNITY
To be a Christian is to be in a family of loving, reconciled believers. We value unity, celebrate diversity, and generously share our lives.
PURPOSE
We want to be a church that releases people in to their God-given calling and giftings; we value empowering people to do God’s work.
MISSION
We understand that we don’t just live in a city; we are sent to our city. We exist for each other and for those who are not yet here. We are called to serve, and people are our priority.
GRACE
We don’t pretend to have it all together; we humbly offer to others the saving grace that God offers to us. We meet people where they are and invite them to belong on their journey to believe.
PRESENCE
God’s people are marked by his Spirit…in corporate gatherings and in everyday life. We passionately pursue God’s presence in worship and carry it with us wherever we go.
LIFE
We want to cultivate an atmosphere of abundant life…to create a place where people encounter the good news of Jesus and are healed, inspired, encouraged, and set free.
