Advent: Latin for “coming, arrival.” For centuries the people of God waited in darkness for the coming light of the promised Savior. Longing… waiting… hoping. Those words describe how we so often feel. Longing for healing, waiting for a breakthrough, hoping for change. But as we wait, we wait with confident expectation. Each day our anticipation grows as we get closer to the joyful celebration that indeed a Savior has come to us. And as we wait, may we encounter Him afresh in this season.
